Pedometers

Research shows a clear relationship between your level of physical activity and your chance of dying prematurely from all chronic diseases. One of the simplest ways to measure physical activity is to monitor how many steps or kilometers you accumulate daily. A pedometer allows us to do this with ease. A daily quota of 6000 to 10,000 steps has been shown to give optimal health benefits by reducing our health risk. However, some groups eg. diabetics, obese, require more steps (12,000 to 15,000) to achieve health benefits.

The pedometers we recommend have been tested for accuracy. One study showed this model to display values that were within +-3% of the actual steps taken, 95% of the time.
